[Phil.4:11-12]  Not that I say this because of need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I find myself, to be self-sufficient.  I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances;  I know also how to live with abundance.  In every circumstance and in all things I have leaned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance,  and of being in need. 

I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.

Never criticize another person, except to their own face, with the intent to help.  Criticizism can never be " constructive " if expressed to anyone else.

[Isa.40:28-31]  Do you not know or have you not heard?  The Lord is the eternal God, creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint nor grow weary, and his knowledge is beyond scrutiny.  He gives strength to the fainting; for the weak he makes vigor abound.  Though young men faint and grow weary, and youths stagger and fall.  They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles' wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.

[Psalm 31:24-25]  Love the Lord, all you faithful.  The Lord protects the loyal, but repays the arrogant in full.  Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

[Deut.33:25]  May your bolts be of iron and bronze; may your strength endure through all your days!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Lord's Prayer [ Matt.6:9-13]  This is how you are to pray:  Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one.

If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.  To have an effective prayer life, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret.  And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.[Matt.6:5-6]

[Heb.11:6]  But without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he rewards those who seek him.

[Luke 11:9]  The Answer to Prayer.  And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened.

THE LIGHT OF GOD LEADS US... THE LOVE OF GOD SURROUNDS US...THE POWER OF GOD PROTECTS US...This is my family's daily prayer...and also my 'candle lighting' prayer... you can actually feel the 'power' in this ceremony..It proceeds all things and keeps us 'centered' no matter what may come.. Lighting a candle during times of hardship helps warm up your soul.  You can pray and meditate and you will feel yourself relax.  Good for overcoming anxiety and depression during the winter months and the holiday blues.

Two baby orangantans:  A smile a day keeps the doctor away.

 A smile is infectious.  You catch it like the flu.

When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin.

When she/he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to her/him.

I thought about that smile, then I realized it's worth.

A single smile, just like mine could travel around the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected.

Let's start an epidemic quick, and get the whole world infected.

Alcoholism: Galations 5:19-26 :  Now the works of the flesh are obvious:  immortality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness, dissensions, factions, occasions of envy, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like.  I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. 

 

Symbolizes the Power of Jesus     Anxiety, Phil.4:6-7 and how to handle stress, Phil.4:6-8 :  Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.  Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Anxiety, Proverbs 1:33 :  But he who obeys me dwells in security, in peace, without fear of harm.

To handle stress, Phil.4:6-8 :   Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, ever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me.  Then the God of peace will be with you.

The desire to love is enough.............MY LORD GOD, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

Why am I always trying so hard to win your love and approval? Perhaps because I didn’t feel it from my own father growing up. Or because I am aware of your standards of love (per 1 Corinthians 13:4-8: “Love is patient, Love is kind, Love does not envy, Love does not boast, Love is not proud, Love is not rude…”), and I always get about three lines down, and then blow it. Big time.
